Kith Flagship store Paris x snarkitecture.

KITH, the leading American footwear and apparel brand, has opened their first European flagship store in Paris, France.The store is located in the heart of Paris at Rue de Charon, 8th arrondissement. It is a 16,000 square foot space that features collaborations with contemporary artists Daniel Arsham and Hajime Sorayama. The store open to Parisian on the February 26th 2020.


Ronnie Fieg, Founder of KITH has collaborated with Daniel Arsham's collaborative enterprise "Snarkitecture". Their collaboration also applies to Tokyo, New York and Los Angeles flagship stores.Daniel Arsham himself is a contemporary artist based in New York City. His works are known for focusing on architecture and hand-drawn works as well as sculpture. His other famous collaborations include Dior, Porsche and Adidas among many others


The architecture is a combination between Snarkitecture's freshness and monochrome language with a native characteristic of its French setting. This 16,000 square foot building was a renovated former luxury hotel in the heart of Paris that turned into the Pershing hall of Paris and is now officially the KITH flagship store in Paris.


Upon entering, like all KITH stores across the globe features a sculptural array of plaster cast sneakers. Except, here they are designed to resemble ancient aspects such as a barrel-vaulted ceiling, they constitute a teardrop chandelier with 200 casts air max 1 fixture wraps the ceiling of the marble-tiled doorway. Apart from that the custom they have marble benches and a monolithic central staircase.


On the first floor at the courtyard, features the facility that includes KITH treats, and a KITH for Sadelle's restaurant that adds a hint of light blue to the aesthethic of the french and new york architecture. The open and airy feel of the area is complemented by the glass-enclosed courtyard. An iconic green wall with a KITH board on displayed was designed by the famous botanist Patrick Blanc and redesigned for Kith by Jardins de Babylone, a french landscape design team.
